Arby's - Steakhouse 3 Cheese Steak Sandwich - REVIEW
Today we head to Arby's to try their NEW Steakhouse Three Cheese Steak Sandwich.
"Arby’s stacked natural Swiss cheese, Cheddar cheese and Gouda cheese on top of tender slices of Angus steak. That’s why it’s called the Angus three cheese and steak sandwich. On account of the three cheeses. And the steak."
There is also a Fire Roasted Philly option as well.
This clocked in at $6.29 before tax for the single sandwich.
Right out of the box this thing looked pretty enough to eat. Luckily it was.
The layering was absolutely done to perfection.
So not only did it look perfect, the taste matched that sentiment.
Each bite had a perfect portion of that meaty Angus beef, crispy onion strings, cheese and peppercorn sauce.
Nothing was overwhelming or over-bearing. It blended together like a complex, yet fine wine.
The beef was top notch, but the star of the show was the crispy onion strings.
That just enhanced the entire flavor. The 3 cheeses (Swiss,Smoked Gouda & Cheddar) made for a nice trio, but were pretty indiscernible, beyond it being melted cheese
and adding extra texture and a general cheesy goodness. The star cut bun was the exact right combo of soft, yet firm enough to hold the contents w/out making a mess.
I would not change a hair on this babies head. This baby being this sandwich, of course.
5 out of 5 from thee ol' Whitfield's here.
Arby's has been absolutely killing it lately. Here's hoping this lasts forever!
Happy Turkey Day fellow Americanos, to the rest of the world, have a wonderful normal day!
That's what we think, let us know what you think,
WFR
